I was looking for a bottle of the Gloria Ferrer Royal Cuvee and not finding, I decided to try the Barefoot Bubbly Brut Cuvee, hoping and wondering that they had something a little interesting.

If you like green apples, and something that is smooth, without much tartness or acidity, then this is fine for you. I'll admit that it didn't wow me, but will admit that I had already have five glasses of Chardonnay a little earlier, and they might've soured me a little.

I did try it again the morning after (don't tell me you've never drank from a bottle of bubbly that was opened the night before) and still wasn't bowled over by it.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
